Translation: Crocs are BAD!

Ok, obviously I had some spare time tonight as I have posted quite a few new entries. Now I would like to write/vent about something that has been lingering in my mind for some time now. This issue has been building up ever since my arrival to this wonderful place, known as Kyoto. However, I do have one, small, tiny, minuscule problem when I walk around the city....CROCS!
(A picture from a nightmare I had recently.)People, people, people CROCS ARE NOT FASHION!!!!!! They are not even good looking! Why, in the love of Jimmy Choo are you wearing them as part of your outfit?! Crocs are meant to be worn in the garden where the weeds are so high that you cannot see the monstrosities that adorn your feet. Or, they are meant to be worn by young children because young children can pretty much wear anything and get away with it, even crocs.
I was reminded of my issue with this shoe (Would you even call it a shoe? Or is is more of an ugly slipper thing?) when I saw one of my teachers strutting around school with them on. And for those of you who work in Japan this was not one of the schools that require indoor shoes. He was actually just wearing them as part of his ensemble. AND he has influenced another teacher and now TWO of my teachers were them around (in bright red and yellow)! Such a shame.
I am not sure what it is with Japan (or, dare I ask, is the craze every where now?), but apparently I missed the memo they sent out saying that it was ok to wear crocs AND BEDAZZLE them and then pass them off as "fashion".

Are you so shallow that you can't consider comfort as a reason to wear shoes? Crocs are very, very comfortable. And are you aware that Crocs makes more than rubber clogs? http://youbycrocs.com/

I am glad you have found enjoyment in crocs. I am simply stating my opinion on the shoes, which i consider to be unattractive (though I am sure they are comfortable, but I guess I will simply have to take your word on that one). As this is MY blog I will hence forth continue to be as "shallow" as I want. Nonetheless, your comments are appreciated. But, I still am not a fan of crocs. God bless your little blog Tre. Crocs are GROSS!!!!!!!!! They are so ugly I want to vomit everytime I see someone with a pair, and even worse when parents put their kids in those horrible things. If mom and dad did that to us when we were little it would requre years of therapy to recover.
