Happy Halloween!

Well, it is that time of year when the creative, tacky, scandalous, cute, funny costumes come out and massive amounts of candy is distributed to the worthy 'trick-or-treaters'....WAIT! I almost forgot I live in Japan where Halloween is barely recognized aside from us "English teachers" who try to bring a bit of culture to our classes!

Despite the fact that Halloween is, *sigh*, just another day here, my friends and I did our best to bring out the FIERCE which is Halloween this past weekend! That's right we brought out the pumpkin decorations, fake spider webs, candy, hot pants, leg warmers, tights, head bands....*ahem* hot pants? That is right my friends HOT PANTS, green hot pants to be exact!

My oh-so-fabulous friends and I paid our tributes to the 80s/Flashdance and, if I do say so myself, we were a "bodacious" (yes, I said "bodacious") looking group!
The DudesThe Chicks

It's is a little disconcerting that the decade I was born in is now a legit costume, but WHATEVER! We blasted our favorite 80's tunes and turned Phil's amazing apartment into the hottest dance club in Kyoto that evening.
Not to mention, we also had ourselves a Tyra-worthy runway show. Yes, we had over festive bunch strut their best runway walk to compete for the honors of Halloween's Top Model.
And, who was our Halloween Top Model you ask???? It was none other than Wolverine (alias: Adam Fletcher).
What made the night even better was the fact that our friends shamelessly wore their costumes on their respective trains out to Phil's apartment. That, right there, is true Halloween spirit.
And with that I bid you farewell and a Happy Halloween!
