I was browsing through MSNBC and came across this article about lowering your chances of breast cancer later on in your adulthood.
Exercising as a teen may stave off breast cancer.
(Guess I can thank my high school basketball coaches for all those hours of practice and long distance runs now...right girls?)
Basically, keep your bodies in check ladies because the amount of exercise and your body weight you CAN control. And, in addition to lowering your chance of breast cancer, why wouldn't you want to maintain a healthy lifestyle? “Women who engage in physical activity not only during adolescence but during adulthood lower their risk.” Kudos to my Mama for always busting out those yoga , tae bo, and pilates dvds! (But seriously Mom, a day off from yoga, especially right after your surgery, wouldn't have been such a bad idea either. *wink*)
Alright, so, ladies get on that exercise and stay healthy! As the rapper Pitbull would say, "Go Girl, Go Girl..."
